Epimediums

Description – This is a medium sized evergreen hybrid of E. acuminatum with E. fangii. This is a naturally occurring cross which was found on Emei Shan (Mount Omei) in China by Mikinori Ogisu, a Japanese botanist and plant collector. A couple of plants from his collection E. x omeiense ‘Akane’ (‘Emei Shan’) and ‘Stormcloud’, are quite well known and offered by a number of nurseries. The plant pictured below was recently (2015) bought from Edrom Nurseries.
