Epimediums
Description – This is a medium / large sized evergreen plant similar to E. wushanense ‘Caramel’, but not the same. It was bought by Dave Sisley of Straight Mile Nursery as the straight species, from a wholesaler of perennial plants. My guess is, it was originally another Chen Yi introduction. It has a strange habit of sometimes presenting its flowers upside down. Apart from that quirk it probably has no superior features to E. wushanense ‘Caramel’, but as a curiosity it may be worth seeking out.
