Epimediums

Description – This is a small/medium sized deciduous hybrid which occurred spontaneously, at Wisley, RHS Gardens in Surrey. It seems this naughty little plant completely overwhelmed its mother, so nothing of the E. platypetalum plant remained, with its label. We were given a piece of this by Colin Crosbie, the former curator of Wisley Gardens. I suggested the name ‘Wisley Imp’, which  was thought to be quite appropriate and I believe accepted. The flowers are tiny but prolifically produced. The picture below does not do it justice, as it was only removed from the main plant the previous day.
