Distribution  - Russia, (Far Eastern Area), Maritime Province, Southern district, east of the Sikhota-Alin range.

Description –  This is a very distinct dwarf species with probably the largest flower of any.  It has rounded leaflets which are unmistakable once you know the plant. We suspect it isn’t the easiest to establish having failed a couple of times initially. However later purchases are looking promising in a 50 gallon water tank, which brings it up a bit for viewing.

It has long thin rhizomes wandering just under the soil surface. The few flowers we have had are huge and the prospect of a few more eventually is exciting..
