Description  - This is a small low growing plant probably best planted in a raised position where the small bell shaped yellow flowers can be better appreciated. It is said to be a ‘primitive’ species belonging to a group of three species with small, pendulous bell or cup shaped flowers. Basal leaves and the one leaf on a flower stem consist of three somewhat pointed leaflets. The rootstock consists of shot rhizomes leading to a compact clumping habit..
